1930's Hand Painted Headboard
Rare and beautiful 1930's headboard for a single sized bed.
It measures 36.5 inches (just over 3 feet) and 38 inches high from the bottom of the wooden "legs" to the highest point of the headboard.
The "legs" do not have holes in them for screwing onto a bed. They probably dropped into metal brackets attached to the bed frame. As the legs are wooden, holes could easily be drilled into them to attach it securely to a bed.
This absolutely charming headboard is a soft golden yellow colour, edged in aqua green/blue and decorated with a sumptuous bouquet of hand painted roses, Delphiniums, Morning Glories and Lily of the Valley.
It's curved top line is beautifully decorative and the entire item is unashamedly feminine.
