1930's Red Chintz Floral Cartouche Curtain Set

Absolutely gorgeous red chintz floral and cartouche curtains and pelmet by fabric design company Bernard Wardle. The red is sublime, softened just a touch by the delicately polished finish. The cartouches are a charming organic shape and are filled with Roses, Iris, and other florals. Wonderful smaller florals are scattered throughout.

Each curtain measures 75 inches long, 57 inches across the bottom and the tops are currently cinched to 40 inches across. the matching pelmet is 148 inches wide by 9 inches. Both the curtains and the pelmet are lined. There is a small tear on the lining at the hem of one curtain. Please see the photo.

This set has the Bernard Wardle text on the selvedge along with the Bee logo which denotes these to the 1930's. They are without issue and are rare. They are simply stunning.
