30s Vanity Evening Bag

Unusual late 30's evening bag; it has a heavy brass frame covered in smart black fabric. It has a stylish chain handle with rectangular links. The brass clasp opens the bag to reveal the original beveled mirror (minor foxing) on one side with a holder for a comb. The comb is missing but is a type easy to replace.

The opposite side has a large pocket and two smaller pockets. The smaller pockets hold a coin purse and a small "pocket" with fold over top, perhaps for a powder puff. The pieces are in black silk and satin like fabrics. The inside of the small "pocket" is lined in white.

These beautiful pieces of fashion history are becoming increasingly rare. It is 6 by 7.5 inches.
