Broderie Anglais Baby Dress Set

Beautiful baby dress set; white cotton with very decorative Broderie Anglais design.

The dress is full of gorgeous detail including numerous styles of needlework around the upper chest area and the bottom half of the skirt.

The empire bodice attaches to the body of the dress with lots of pretty gathers. The short fluted sleeves are gently gathered and trimmed with tiny cotton crocheted edging. There are 2 buttons of the back of the dress. Just beneath the bottom button is a tiny tear in the fabric (please see photo).

The dress comes with a matching cotton petticoat. It is trimmed around the neck and armholes with tiny lace and around the bottom of the skirt with 2 layers of longer lace.

The dress measures 16 inches long from shoulder seam to hem, 8 3/4 inches from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. It looks like it would fit a newborn up to 2 month old baby but please go by the measurements.

Absolutely pretty enough for a Baptism or Christening dress.
