Superb 1930's Painted Roses Wardrobe

Superb 1930's hand painted wardrobe, extremely beautiful and decorative.

It's background colour is a lovely warm yellow. The overall finish is very even and not faded. It has a light overall crackle finish.

It is decorated with highly skilled and exquisite hand painted floral sprays on each door with more along the sides at the top and on each cabriole foot. the bouquets include cabbage Roses in soft pink, Morning Glory's and luxurious Iris.

The top edge is painted a glorious pale green which is teamed with a narrow band of very subtle silver. Around the bottom is the same lovely green banding.

There are 2 gold coloured door pulls which have tarnished with age. The wardrobe does lock smoothly and comes with it's key.

The inside and back are unpainted. The rail brackets have been replaced. It measures 68.6 inches high,35 1/4 inches wide and 18.5 inches deep. It is a very rare and wonderful find.....
