French Floral Keepsake Box

Lovely green keepsake box from France with a large, colourful floral decoration on the lid which has been hand painted. 

The box is a wonderful large size measuring 12.5 inches wide, 10.2 inches deep and 2.1 inches high.

There is a simple but very pretty gold leaf design around the sides and a subtle faux crackle finish.  The inside of the box is lined in a gently textured cream material.  It has a very minor bit of foxing.

Two of the four original small brass "feet" are missing. It sits very evenly without issue. On the base there is a seal style label which reads "JACQUIN PARIS".
