Rosebuds & Aqua Bed Valance Sheet

Exquisite bed valance sheet by Bernard Wardle and dating to the late 1940's. It is a rare large size measuring up to 65 wide and 75 inches long.

The main body of this valance sheet is sturdy white cotton. The beautiful fabric "ruffle" is decorated with a superb design of pink moss roses, soft aqua blue panels and bands of pretty coloured roses.

It is prettily gathered to make a full skirt around the base of the bed and is extremely well constructed.

It is fitted at the top, has a band of fabric around the outer edge of the main body which allows you more "drop" if needed. The piping that runs around the entire piece above the ruffle is a lovely detail.

The drop of the ruffle is 12 1/4 inches from the piping and almost 17 inches from the top edge of the fabric band.
