Rosy Electric Hurricane Lamp

Vintage 1950's electric American lamp in the style of an hurricane lamp. The shade is beautifully decorative being covered in roses and the gradually fading peachy colour at the top and bottom. It gives off a most lovely, atmospheric light. The base is milk glass and has a hobnail edge.
 
The metal holder for the shade is goldtone but is losing some of it's colour. Orignally there was a "key" to turn it on/off in the hole at the side but this was removed as it is not an option available in the UK.
 
The lamp is currently not wired due to UK legislation. Rewiring is not at all difficult and the lamp comes with a UK regulation plastic bulb fitting.
 
It measures 13.5 inches high and just over 6 inches wide across the base.
