Set of Embroidered Pillowcases in Box

Original set of two embroidered cotton pillowcases and one cotton bolster case which is plain. The pillowcases have never been used. The bolster case is perfect but may have been used as it is slightly softer, suggesting it may have been washed. 

The embroidery is very elegant and decorative with a central cameo shape surrounded by "flourishes".

What immediately strikes the eye though is the wonderfully charming original box this set comes in which is covered in a watered silk style aqua blue paper and has a very beautiful young Edwardian lady on it, with a large blue and white gingham bow in her hair.

The box does have wear but is such a super item to display even after you use the lovely "linens" and quite a rare find. It measures 12 1/4 by 9 1/2 inches (31 by 24 cm).
